Building Community Transforming Lives Accessing the World

SAWs® is a nonprofit, volunteer organization founded in 2003. Originally started in Indianapolis, our organization serves clients across Indiana, as well as Arizona and Virginia. We specialize in building wooden wheelchair ramps for low-income, permanently disabled individuals. With the support of our donors and volunteers, lives are changed one ramp at a time and in less than six hours we transform a client’s life FOREVER.

Our Builders Club

Support SAWs®

Because SAWs® does not charge low-income, permanently disabled persons for their ramps, we depend on the generosity of individuals, churches, corporations and nonprofit organizations to support our efforts.

Your donation will allow us to continue our mission of providing life-changing results for our clients and our volunteers.
Whether you like to build ramps, make phone calls to prospective recipients or prepare and serve refreshments for our build teams.
A SAWs® Affiliate is a group of volunteers who come together to build wheelchair ramps for those most in need in their area.

Referring Agency Partners

SAWs® is in the process of building a strong referral network consisting of healthcare providers and nonprofit agencies that already work with our future clients and are more familiar with their circumstances.

Access isn’t optional. It’s essential. This is what a ramp makes possible.Teresa needs safe, reliable access in and out of her home for ongoing care and transportation. Before, getting in and out of the home was a barrier. Now, there is a safe way for her to access care and for her family to support her with greater ease and peace of mind. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers and Project Manager David for making this possible.Help us keep building: Visit sawsramps.org ... See MoreSee Less
